Gabe Colona (2009), D
1991 DOB (Apr) .. good size (6-2, 180) .. an offensive defenseman who can skate the puck .. showed good poise and was effective on the PP .. lacks strong defensive skill and awareness and needs work on his speed defensively down low .. playing for The Hill School.
Matt Milana (2010), F
1991 DOB (Dec) .. lacks size (5-7, 155) .. captain .. shifty player with quick moves .. moves the puck well through the neutral zone .. has good speed with quick strides .. a definite player you want on your PP .. scored against LA Selects when he beat the goalie to the loose puck and put it in the net .. will be playing for Kent School this year.
LA Selects
Max Edson (2010), F
1992 DOB (Feb) .. small, quick center (5-6, 134) .. good in the faceoff circle but can easily be out-muscled off the puck .. a very good skater with quick strides .. plays that small and shifty-type-of game, in the mold of Avon Old Farms (BC recruit) Cam Atkinson .. has quick hands and shot .. created many scoring chances while on the ice .. will need to take his game to the prep or junior level soon.
Dartmouth Subway
Chris Dart (2010), F
1992 DOB (Feb) .. lacks size (5-9, 161) but willing to go to the net and battle for loose pucks .. was a constant threat when he had the puck in the offensive zone .. displayed quick hands and shifty moves to slip away from checks .. very effective on the PP and moving the puck around and finding the open man .. showed a quick release .. could be a solid pick-up in the QMJHL Draft this year.
Ben Duffy (2010), F
1992 DOB (Mar) .. decent size (5-10, 165) .. consistent effort and does the little things well that can easily go unnoticed .. did not standout offensively as expected, but makes solid passes and moves the puck quick .. does not over handle the puck or try to go around players .. plays tough in the corners and battles hard along the boards .. solid on the PP, but looks to pass too much .. should be an early round pick for the QMJHL Draft.
Kody Orr (2011), F
1992 DOB (Nov) .. size and strength (6-0, 170) .. besides Dart, the most offensive player on Dartmouth .. a decent skater .. his arms and shoulders are all over the place when in full stride .. has good speed and short, strong strides .. moves the puck well in the offensive zone and is tough in every zone .. scored two goals against Texas Attack .. one goal was on the PP coming off a shot from the point and Orr tipped-it into the top corner .. second goal came a few seconds later when he stuffed home the rebound into the empty net .. if he continues to develop, he could be a very good player in the Q .. another early round pick for the QMJHL Draft.
Andrew Roski (2009), F
1991 DOB (May) .. captain .. decent size (5-11, 188) .. an average skater who needs more than a few strides to get going, but did show decent speed .. very reliable defensively and strong on the PK .. showed good hands around the net .. scored against the Texas Attack when coming down the wing, he made a quick move to the middle of the ice and fired a shot between the defenseman's legs and the puck went in five-hole .. has a quick release .. smart with the puck and moves it well.
Texas Attack
Colin Jacobs (2011), F
1993 DOB (Jan) .. remember this name – this kid has tremendous upside .. good size (6-1, 181) and only 14 years old .. showed good strength and ability to battle for pucks along the boards .. his best asset is his poise with the puck and his hands .. good skater with a smooth stride and decent quickness .. does seem to lack that extra gear but uses his poise to slow the play down and re-group .. makes quick, hard passes through the neutral zone .. scored against Dartmouth on the PP when he got a lucky bounce after trying to make a cross-ice pass that was deflected off a Dartmouth defenseman into the net .. has a quick shot .. one glaring weakness is his lack of effort in the defensive zone and backchecking .. overall, this kid has talent and if continues to develop, he should become a special player.
Jacob Fallon (2010), F
1992 DOB (Feb) .. another solid player with lots of upside on the Attack team .. lacks size (5-9, 165), but has the offensive tools to be a consistent threat in the offensive zone, while also playing a reliable game in the defensive zone .. played on both PP and PK .. showed explosive speed with the puck .. smart and has poise with the puck .. on top of his eye-opening goal, Fallon had a few other scoring chances .. showed good hands in tight .. his goal came when he picked up the puck from his own goal line and skated up the ice going around two defenders and with one defenseman left to beat, he faked going wide and cut back to the net . he then held the puck as the goalie went down and skated across the top of the crease and put it in the net .. a definite player to watch.
Sean Heidrick (2009), D
1991 DOB (Feb) .. size (6-0, 173) .. logged a lot of icetime and used for every PP .. does a good job when pressured and escaping the check .. on the other hand, he tries to stickhandle too much at times .. when he does pass, he moves the puck well from the backend .. not overly physical but does play the body .. had a few mental mistakes with the puck, but overall a solid game against Dartmouth.
Team Illinois
Andrew Miller (2009), F
1991 DOB (Jul) .. good size (6-0, 170) .. has good speed with and without the puck and coming through the neutral zone .. displayed good poise and smarts with the puck .. has good upside.
Victory Honda
Kaleb Shannon (2009), F
1991 DOB (Aug) .. decent size (5-10, 165) .. decent speed and hands .. effective on the PP and moves the puck well .. quick shot but did not shoot enough .. was not much of a threat against Pictou Weeks .. has a good stride .. needs some developing, but seems to have good upside.
