BCHL: Wheres Benn in June

Jamie Benn (2007), LW, Victoria
Not lightning fast, but works hard to get in on the forecheck and does a nice job closing down time and space .. tends to be a bit transfixed by the puck, especially in his own zone, which can lead him to be a bit too reactive .. boasts good hand-eye coordination and is quite dangerous at tipping pucks on net .. displays a nose for the net .. usually is effective at protecting the puck using his large frame .. a regular on the powerplay .. generally showcases poise in the scoring areas .. must be more aware of danger in his own zone when he's got the puck .. has the hands and smarts to jump on rebounds and put them away .. given his ability to shield the puck and his deceptive speed he can be quite lethal if the defensive coverage falls a sleep at the switch .. needs to play with more determination on a consistent basis.

Garry Nunn (2008), RW, Victoria
Not as big or as strong as his linemate Jamie Benn, however his is much quicker and more mobile .. displays a willingness to stick up for himself when need be .. parks himself in front on the powerplay .. at his most effective when keeping his feet moving and forcing the defensive coverage to try and keep up .. boasts a terrific top gear and can slice through and around defensive coverage .. his shot still needs improvement, especially in the velocity department .. won't shy away from getting involved physically, although is far from being a power forward .. a regular on the man advantage and sees a ton of ice when his team needs a goal .. definitely a player to keep an eye on for the following NHL Entry Draft.
Kyle MacKinnon (2007), C, Langley
There are rumblings that a Western Conference team is nosing around and thinking about taking him with a late round pick .. a tireless worker that is on the ice in all situations and seems to show no ill effects of suck a large workload .. communicates well with his linemates and lives up to the "A" on his jersey .. might not have the softest hands or be blessed with elite vision, however he still can be dangerous .. simply amazing wheels with or without the puck and can really back off a defence .. there is little reason he can have success at the college level given his work ethic and skating ability, yet he lacks the hockey sense to project to be anything above the 3rd or 4th liner at the pro level.
Taylor Stefishen (2008), LW, Langley
Very mobile with good feet .. takes the body, but isn't strong enough yet to be able to punish the opposition .. needs to park himself in front with a bit more determination .. reads the play well and displays a maturation away from the without the puck .. generally does an effective job marking his man .. needs to work harder creating time and space from the checker .. will benefit from getting stronger so he can fight through coverage .. has the speed to beat some defenders to the outside .. saw limited time on the PK .. not opposed to drop down in front of a point shot .. a regular on the powerplay.
Scott Orth (2007), G, Langley
The Chiefs' seldom used backup looks a bit awkward out of the net .. comes across the net quickly .. must be careful with his rebound control and his positioning appears to be off .. doesn't use the size he does have well and gives the shooter too much to shoot at .. not always sure where the puck is and tends to be a tad shaky on the second and third shots .. still needs time for his game to mature and isn't a prospect at this time.
Chris Rawlings (2007), G, Powell River
Huge goalie has been criticized with his lack of quickness to get down in the past although some might suggest a bit unfairly .. his rebound control is better than expected, however it needs to be good as he is too infrequently bailed out when he does leave a juicy rebound .. communicates well with his defence .. plays with confidence .. uses his blocker nicely to deflect pucks in to the netting .. doesn't like to roam out of his net often, but shows an ability to shoot the puck reasonably hard around the boards .. showcases surprisingly quick feet when he goes down and never gives up on a play .. usually does an effective job of reading pressure .. boasts a strong net presence and holds the post well .. can stretch out and cover the whole bottom of the net.
