2013 US-NTDP Evaluation Camp Roster Announced

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Fifty-two of the top American players born in 1997 have been invited to USA Hockey's National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp, it was announced by USA Hockey. The camp, which will help select the 2013-14 U.S. National Under-17 Team, will take place March 22-26, at the Ann Arbor (Mich.) Ice Cube.
"Our entire staff works tirelessly all year long to prepare for this important first step in building a team," said Peter Ward, director of player personnel for the NTDP.

"We look forward to evaluating these talented young men both on and off the ice."
The players will be divided into three teams - Red, White and Blue - and will participate in on-ice practices and off-ice training as well as four 30-minute practice sessions and two full games. Each team will consist of nine forwards, six defensemen and two goaltenders.
NTDP alumni Cole Bassett (Oakdale, Minn./1998-2000) and David Tanabe (White Bear Lake, Minn./1997-98) will serve as a coaches at the camp. In addition, NTDP intern assistant coaches Josh Brown and Trent Palm (Edina, Minn./2004-06), also a former NTDP defenseman, will serve behind the bench.
NOTES: The 52 players on the NTDP Evaluation Camp roster represent 23 different states. Michigan leads the way with eight natives on the roster, while New York is second with six.
