2011 WJAC: USA

Brian Cooper (2012), D, USA
Boasts the strength and speed to go end to end .. has the ability to deliver bone crunching hits on an opponent trying to beat him down the wall .. displays good awareness of where to go without the puck .. needs to guard against be over confident .. wore a C for this version of Team USA .. a mainstay on the powerplay .. a workhorse who generally comes to play every shift .. boxes his man out of the prime scoring areas .. stickhandles well and moves the puck crisply .. willing to take a hit to make a play .. his 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame will scare off some teams from gambling that he can transfer his physical style to the NHL.

Chris Bradley (2012), D, USA
Boasts good size at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds .. closes gaps quickly .. strong on his skates .. has already been skipped over the draft once and is likely to be overlooked once again .. committed to RPI.

Points: 5gp, 0-0-0 (WJAC)
Jordan Schmaltz (2012), D, USA
Quick skater with a nice stride .. gets up to top speed quickly .. moves the pocket to open up different shooting and passing lanes .. slick stickhandler .. gives and receives the passes cleanly .. moves the puck with poise, delivering crisp, tape-to-tape passes .. plays on the powerplay .. takes the man .. closes down time and space .. will pinch in from the point .. sports a good shot, but needs to work on accuracy . can get caught watching the play and find himself on an island .. doesn't push the puck in to bad areas .. although not great physically, does a nice job keeping puckcarrier to the outside .. nice size at 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame .. still has the room to add more muscle, especially in the legs.
Club Team: Green Bay (USHL)
Points: 5gp, 0-1-1 (WJAC)
Ian McCoshen (2013), D, USA
Stride is maturing .. inexperienced youngster rarely played
.. looks a tad lost in his own zone .. needs to improve his vision and awareness of the play around him .. not trusted to kill penalties unless the game is out of hand .. not bad physically and thanks to tremendous size (6-foot-3, 205-pounds) he should only get stronger physically.
Club Team: Waterloo (USHL)
Points: 5gp, 0-1-1 (WJAC)
Austin Cangelosi (2012), RW, USA
.. blessed with good wheels, pressures the play on the forecheck .. displays nice vision and can find the open man through traffic .. is effective at driving the net without the puck and has the hands to finish if the pass gets through .. plays on the powerplay .. mind is willing, but lacks the elite top speed to make up for a lack of size and strength to drive through traffic .. undersized at only 5-foot-7, 170-pounds, however he uses an active stick to create turnover.
Club Team: Youngstown (USHL)
Points: 5gp, 1-2-3 (WJAC)

Showcases the speed and desire to not only lead a rush, but go end to end .. has the speed to slice through traffic .. sports the quickness to beat a defender inside or on the outside .. displays nice hand in close .. good vision, finds the open man and can put the pass right on the tape .. stickhandles well in tight spaces .. needs to get stronger on the puck and can be shut down in traffic if he's not moving his feet .. plays on both special team .. pressures the D on the forecheck .. is a tenacious penalty killer and is a threat to go the other way .. although only sports a 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame he is still gritty.. selected player of the game twice (Sweden and Russia).
Club Team: Waterloo (USHL)
Points: 5gp, 1-3-4 (WJAC)
A.J. Michaelson (2012), RW, USA
Great wheels allows him to get up to top speed quickly .. can dangle at full stride .. sports a quick release and an above average shot .. must show more determination without the puck, especially on the backcheck .. lacks the grit and power to win loose puck battles .. can be guilty of trying to do too much as well as overhandling the puck .. has the capabilities of picking the far corner on any rush .. limited effectiveness in the WJAC as he primarily used on the fourth line, although did see extra ice time if the game was out of hand .. the 6-foot-1, 185-pound framed forward must improve his strength .. can be a bit of a liability in his own zone and lacks even average defensive awareness .. great upside, but a lot of work left to do before he'll be able to transfer his skill to the next level.
Club Team: Waterloo (USHL)
Points: 5gp, 0-0-0 (WJAC)
