2011 Draft Watch: Corbin Boes

Being the backup to Liam Liston, who is Central Scouting's top ranked WHL goaltender, means he isn't getting the ice time that some others in the draft class will .. looks a bit stiff in the net, sometimes it is as if his feet are in quicksand .. not very adept at handling shots low on the blocker side .. very slow getting back in to the play, which is compounded when he over commits to the first shot .. can lose the puck in his feet .. not very sure handed with his glove, but generally swallows up shots reasonably well .. boasts nice size at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, yet leaves a whole lot of the net available .. moves the puck up to his defence well .. has a lot of work ahead of him for him to have a realistic chance of being selected in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Factoid: Selected by the Portland Winterhawks in the 10th round (199th overall) of the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.
